Homelessness Community Action Grant

This initiative provides one-time funding for local planning and collaborative initiatives designed to better respond to the needs of those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Funding supports community-based action including demonstration projects, partnerships, research and other collaborative efforts.

Capital Project Grants

Capital Project Grants provide $5 million annually to not-for-profit organizations throughout B.C., to support the completion of inclusive, accessible capital projects that meet community-identified needs and priorities.

Community Sponsorship

Columbia Power is committed to translating power project investments into benefits for residents. The First Nations and Community Sponsorship programs are one example of how Columbia Power works to help build strong partnerships and vibrant communities where they operate their facilities.

AMS Sustainability Projects Fund

The AMS Sustainability Projects Fund (SPF) was established on September 2011, when UBC students passed a successful referendum to support student-initiated sustainability projects through a $2.52 per student fee each year. The SPF encourages an environmentally conscious culture, by funding student-led projects that advance environmental, social and economic sustainability within the UBC community.

West Kootenay-Boundary Community Investment Co-op

The West Kootenay- Boundary Community Investment Co-op is a new member-owned association that allows its members to invest into local businesses with the purpose of promoting economic, social, environmental and community impacts. We believe in doing good while making a profit.

The East Kootenay Columbia Community Investment Co-op is a new member-owned association that allows its members to invest into local businesses with the purpose of promoting economic, social, environmental and community impacts. We believe in doing good while making a profit.

Community Impact Fund

The Community Impact Fund sits at the heart of the Foundation. Built by small and large donations, it is designed to have maximum flexibility in order to respond to changing community needs. The Board of Directors, guided by the Vital Conversations Report, decides on community needs and grants appropriately.

*The Board of the Bowen Island Community Foundation will be dedicating funds from its Community Impact Fund to be distributed as yearly grants for community projects that benefit Bowen Island and its residents.

The TD Ready Challenge is an annual North American initiative, which supports organizations developing innovative solutions for a changing world. Recipients must be organizations that have impactful and measurable solutions focused on helping to open doors for a more inclusive and sustainable tomorrow.
