The AMS Sustainability Projects Fund (SPF) was established on September 2011, when UBC students passed a successful referendum to support student-initiated sustainability projects through a $2.52 per student fee each year. The SPF encourages an environmentally conscious culture, by funding student-led projects that advance environmental, social and economic sustainability within the UBC community.
Eligibility
- The primary applicant must be a registered UBC student. Secondary applicants can be faculty, staff or community members.

- The AVP Sustainability is responsible for AMS Sustainability efforts and liaising with the University on sustainability-related issues through implementation of the AMS Sustainable Action Plan (ASAP), which includes oversight of all AMS Operations in the Nest and internal policies.

- The Sustainability Projects Coordinator initiatives and implements projects with emphasis on the Interaction Sustainability Center (ISC), UBC SEEDS projects, as well as internal projects that improve and measure the success of the AMS Lighter Footprint Strategy.

- The Sustainability Fund Administration is responsible for the operation and distribution of the AMS Sustainability Projects Fund and chairs monthly Sustainability Project Fund committee meetings.
