Each year, the Nanaimo Foundation provides grants from our Nanaimo Vital Fund. Applications must be submitted to be considered for a Nanaimo Vital Fund grant.
The Nanaimo Vital Fund supports:
- Capital projects
- Pilot projects
Applications for ongoing program delivery and administrative expenses will not be considered.
Eligibility
Applying organizations must:
- Be a qualified donee, under the Income Tax Act
- Currently operate within the geographical boundaries of Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District 68

HOW TO APPLY
The Nanaimo Foundation has a two-stage application process. The first stage is a Letter of Intent, which consists of a brief proposal to determine basic suitability. The second stage is the submission of a full grant application.

GRANTING TIMELINE
Letter of Intent submissions: September 1st – October 31st.
Applicants will be notified approximately 16 weeks after the letter of intent submission deadline.
Application submissions: March 1st – April 30th.
