The Sitka Foundation supports environmental changemakers in our communities who preserve biodiversity and protect the environment. 

The FCSSBC Youth Education Bursary assists young people that are or have been in care and want to pursue a career in the field of Human and Social Services. Bursaries support students with the financial costs of tuition, books, and supplies for post-secondary academic education, training, or upgrading. The bursary is available to a maximum of $2,000 per academic year (two semesters).

The Terrace Community Foundation is an apolitical, philanthropic organization whose purpose is to raise funds and bring donors to the table to help build a resilient, resourceful, caring community. 

In turn, we provide grants to community groups and organizations that cover a broad spectrum of needs.
The Terrace Community Foundation will consider grants for projects that encompass one or more of the following themes:

• Health
• Education
• Arts and culture
• Sports and recreation
• Local environment
• Social services

Neighbourhood Small Grants is Vancouver Foundation’s grassroots grantmaking program that helps build community and strengthen connections right where people live.

Purppl, alongside several other partners, is exploring local interest in building an impact investment fund. The intent is to invest into companies and organizations who generate social and environmental impact as well as financial return.

We intend to build an impact fund which makes direct investments, loans and other creative instruments to enable social enterprises to scale their impact.

Community foundations are charitable organizations which primarily manage and operate the permanent collection of endowed funds, the earnings of which are used for the long-term benefit of a geographically defined community, in perpetuity. Community foundation endowment funds will provide grants to non-profit societies for community and social enhancement within the community area.
