We support charities in the Edmonton area across many sectors, including:

The Community Grants program can support a wide range of organizational needs. We look to organizations to determine their priority areas. If you would like to discuss your organizational needs, start with a phone call to the Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) to discuss the online application process and eligibility requirements.
ECF Small Grant
The small grant program is intended to support one-time, small or emerging, costs where timeliness is required.
Social Enterprise Fund
Put simply, the Social Enterprise Fund (SEF) is a loan fund. We lend money to social enterprises in Alberta that want to make things better in the community and in the world.
The Social Enterprise Fund invests in social enterprises and social entrepreneurs, providing the patient and imaginative capital they need to successfully accomplish important public benefit missions.
Don and Norine Lowry Awards for Women of Excellence
The award is to honour Don and his achievements for the company and community. More importantly, it provides assistance to women of all ages in pursuit of their goals in the fields of water, power, finance, energy, accounting, healthcare, safety and/or community relations.
ECF Awards and Bursaries
Edmonton Community Foundation has a long history of providing student awards to help students achieve their educational dreams. ECF Awards and Bursaries (previously known as Community Scholarships) were launched in 2009 to help students from Edmonton and/or Northern Alberta who have a history of community involvement with the costs of post-secondary education.
Nancy Fairley Scholarship
The Nancy Fairley Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Nancy Fairley through generous donations from family and friends. Donors continue to contribute to the fund to support students who demonstrate passion for academic excellence and community involvement.
Alberta Municipal Solar Program
Receive funding to install solar PV on municipal facilities or land to save on energy costs and reduce your environmental impact.
Clean Energy Improvement Program
Receive support to develop Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing solutions for residential and commercial property owners in your municipality.
Electric Vehicles for Municipalities Program
Reduce the cost of integrating electric vehicles and charging stations in your municipality.
Recreation Energy Conservation Program
Save money by reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions from your municipality’s recreation facilities.
